Ban reason: Metacomms?
Length of ban: Unknown
Events leading to the ban: I was playing the other day with friends, and I go to log into the game earlier, and it says banned for metacomms? I dont know what metacomms is even, and don't know how I would have done that.
Reason the ban should be removed: It wont happen again?image.png.c56e74315e381a1888c13ce6800c9b37.png

Metacommunication is communicating with other players who are also playing the game with you, bypassing normal in-game communication means. This is clearly outlined in our rules due to the inherent advantage that players coordinating outside of in-game means gain when doing so.

Another player reported an instance of a twitch stream wherein you are clearly communicating with other players actively playing the game, or telling you what to do. This was apparently leveraged to coordinate breaking you out of the permabrig, where otherwise you would have no means to contact outside assistance.

Ban reason: Metacomms
Length of ban: Unknown
Events leading to the ban: I was streaming SS14 on Twitch not knowing (at the time) that it was metacomms. I was playing with a few friend's and we thought it would be funny and good content to break me out of perma, and have me escape(breaking another rule. Self-Antag). I had left the game and thought nothing of it after the round was over. I go to log in the other day and it say's I was banned.
Knowing what I know now, it will not happen again, and if the Staff team decides to give me another chance, I can promise no rules will be broken.

If you are going to play the game, please do not communicate with anyone else actively playing. We would highly suggest running your stream at some form of delay to make metacomming/stream sniping more difficult for a bad actor to do, but we cannot dictate how you decide to stream the game.

A second instance of highly suspected metacommunication will likely result in a voucher ban. Accepted.
