SS14 account username: Oceon Ban reason: Failed to De-escalate, because after i reported someone once, i got ultimately pissed and welder bombed myself Date of ban: 17th of July Length of ban: Appeal Ban Events leading to the ban: Il be honest here, i feel like i have been targeted all evening by several people, which ultimately lead me to fume with rage. I tried to play properly for all evening, but got reported over a couple of things, others in the same room have done aswell, and they had no consequences. I was absolutely pissed at the fact that i kept getting pushed over for things that happened daily, by multiple people, without them getting any kind of warning or consequence. Then I reported once, the Security depart for abusive behaviour, as i wanted to report an early in game Murder, and ultimately got told to shut off and take a break. Reason the ban should be removed: I dont really have a reason that this ban should be removed. I believe to some part that it was fair, but i really question some of the administration, aswell as some of the commands and the people behind that. Why are people getting away with that same behaviour? I do not understand it, I am sorry for being angry, but i have been pushed over all evening, which ultimately led me to rage. [...] Why are people getting away with that same behaviour? Another administrator already tried to illustrate this for you; you only see the administrative interaction that happens with you. You don't see the admins messaging everyone else at the same time and you don't see large majority of the bans, punishments, or notes we hand out for other players. You are not exclusively being targeted by administration. The first round on Leviathan you were contacted about today there was at least 20 other players who had an administrator message session. The second round, you contacted an administrator for help with two players being disruptive. When the administrator noted you probably shouldn't be stabbing people just for slipping you as security, you got fed up with the admin not having the context of everything that had happened in-game to you the past several rounds. I only really wanted to report an actual murder that had happened (And that early in the game, which is illegal by putting them up on a meat spike) Instead of listening to me, the people constantly decided to pick on me and frame me, which was what made me fume with absolute rage. Nobody, was, listening. I only attempted to do the right thing and that got ignored. Could you do me a favour and check the normal Chat before, while, and after the admin chat happened? As you may see there, i tried to explain myself, and i got furious for standing in front of sec, THEN getting slipped, and ultimately framed for something that i wanted to report. This is a social intrigue game. While I may not agree that they were in the right to "frame" you, at its very nature this is a game about deception and social interaction. I apologize for my stupid behaviour and fully admit i lost my shit. I do deserve that ban this time. I felt unfairly treated at that time, over a course of several rounds i build a grudge against the people slipping me and started metagrudging. I have taken the time too to go through the rules again and should have logged out to calm my head, not antagonizing myself after i was framed and welderbombing it. I am sorry.
