How does FTL work exactly

I have tried to use a handmade shuttle with FTL points and shit, weren’t available there, greyed out,

 

I didn’t try to with the cargo shuttle

 

i have tried using syndicate shuttle console to go to syndie planet, but it wasn’t an option, do you have to be a syndicate to use that option? Does it have to be the actual nukie shuttle?

or did the nukie planet map not loaded because it was an extended round?

for ftling to centcom you need to wait until ~30s before evac before its available so everyone arrives at similar times
