Metagaming rule

so i wanted to introduce a friend of mine to the game and i was wondering if it counted as metagaming if i guided them on how to play the game while in a call with them.

This question is now entirely covered by the section "Do not use external means to communicate with other players [Metacomming]" in the detailed version of the rules. No exception is made for teaching others how to play or any other reason for communication. The question is being moved to outdated to reduce clutter.

The metacomming rule prohibits any external communication between two or more people who are playing the game on the same server. External communication is any communication that happens outside of the game. A incomplete list of external communication methods is:

• Streaming
• Video calls
• Voice calls
• Messaging
• In-person talking
• Smoke signals

If you want to teach your friend how to play, a method that would be allowed would be to not play yourself, but instead have your friend share their screen with you while in a call.
