Under the MRP Rules specifically Rule 14 it mentions how being revived with a defib applies NLR meaning you cannot remember the events "Leading up to your death" what does this mean. Is it referencing once you start getting attacked or start dying, is it based on time, when you enter a certain health state? I cant find an answer to this and would like one. Thanks all!

Generally you "forget" the last 5-10 minutes before you died. This is so that when you are revived you don't instantly out the one that killed you "I was killed by John Greytide!!!" the second you are revived in imedical.

This game should never allow children to play. Those who advocate for it are quite frankly pedophiles. This game has gruesome displays of violence and swears and all manner of things not suitable for any child to see. If you're someone wanting to have this game marketed to children you're sus as shit and you need to change your life cuz again, you sound like a child hungry groomer.

I know you are just trying to be inflammatory for no particular reason possibly for a reaction, but it is understood that people of just about every age use the internet, and this is a free game. So while our rules state that we don't want people under 16+ playing the game, it is much better to do our best to sanitize the game in all varieties to prevent exposure of other gratuitous means. We cannot control who does and doesn't play the game, we are not omnipotent, and if somebody doesn't explicitly say they are underaged, or are otherwise obviously not old enough, there isn't much we can do, however we do ban them until they would be an appropriate age to play when we do find out people are underage. So maybe hold your tongue before throwing out accusations that you clearly don't seem to understand! :)

  3. Hello! You said the "n-word" as a mouse (we treat it as if you had said it regardless of accent hiding it) under your previous username "asswipe". You may fix your appeal in this thread with this new information.

  4. There is no joy derived from adminning. The reason you hear "we're all volunteers" is because none of us do this for fun. We do it because we like SS14 and want to keep a stable and healthy community (At the very least I do). So don't go throwing around meaningless accusations just because you were upset. As the players are humans, so too are the staff, act like a jackass and you will most certainly be treated as one.

  5. Your appeal is denied.

Roleplaying a murderer is not conductive to the game. You are playing with other players who probably are not laughing along with you that they got stabbed to death by the chef unprovoked. You only managed to kill two people before you were stopped by other players, the other 78 players are irrelevant if you are still breaking the rules.

You may reappeal on or after the the date of April 21 2023.

Thats what I meant by exeggerated story (I mean c'mon, its a greentext). I see how that can be appropriate for the discord server and I am sorry for breaking the rules here, but the only thing that happened in-game was the vending machine mentioning its "flap getting touched", wich I think is an okay rp thing in a 16+ server. I don't believe ss14 is the kind of game where that kind of edgyness should be that much prohibited

How about you guys lower the sentence, because giving perma ban for metacomm is a little bit extreme even though I didn't even done serious Problems or given away ingame infos that could be an advantage for the other one. I just was explaining the game for the other one. And I understand what the Problem is. After all this I learned my lesson and do it ingame next time.

There is no feasible way for us to know that you aren't abusing metacomms to gain an advantage, so it is better to ban it entirely than to moderate it impossibly.

How long have you been playing SS13 or SS14?: I've KNOWN about ss13 forever, but never played it, I've recently began playing SS14 sometime in April, I have about 144 hours as of writing this on steam, but I likely have 50 or so hours just from playing the launcher.

How many hours are you available per day: Weekdays: 3-5 hours, Weekends: As long as I want usually
Days you are available on: Weekdays after 5 pm, basically all day on weekends

Prior administration experience (SS13 experience recommended). Please also post a way for us to verify this: Nothing of note in terms of personal experience, however I am good friends with some admins for this one minecraft server I played a long time ago, so I understand the admin perspective and the irritation they deal with sometimes.
Have you been banned from our game servers or SS13 servers before? No

This is the more essay-y part of the application, you should answer the following questions in detail, so we can get a better idea of how you'd approach adminning.

What role do you think game admins serve on our servers?

Admins are there to ensure the game environment remains welcoming, and isn't just random chaos every round, where people can play their roles without some guy running in and gunning them down every single round. Not to say there shouldn't be chaos sometimes, but if you had the station fall apart 5 times in a row in the same way that gets exhausting and disinteresting at least from a personal perspective. You aren't there to police every single action, an Admin isn't like some jail warden, It's more being partial to what is going on, a player reports another player, respond accordingly and confirm what it is that's being reported with some modicum of levity where need be, as in: if the issue can be solved in game or not, if the issue is due to inexperience, or any other minor reason I can't think of right now. Of course for things like racism, blatant disregard for rules, and disruptive gameplay taking a more serious approach is required. You for the most part are kind of like a judge, jury and executioner, but not quite, punish troublemakers where need be (such as constant self-antaging, needless escalation, validhunting, etc.) and solving those problems that can't just be solved in game, or are repeating issues every round with the same player, retaining a level head and regarding the player experience and their consent are very important and should not be taken lightly.

How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the server?

Personally LRP is okay but when half the time people just murderbone with no dialogue or negotiation that gets tiresome and boring. I don't think MRP will solve every problem but it is definitely a step in the right direction by a wide margin. RP right now is lacking in ways that are frustrating but might sound like nitpicking: You want to order something from cargo? okay they do their job and give you what you want that's IT, no attempt at striking up a conversation or anything like that save for the few that do, most people just kind of robotically play their roles, no interaction to make the game more engaging.

Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14?

I enjoy the game, and the community. I see all the effort everyone working on SS14 puts into the game, and I want to help in any way I can, alleviate some of the frustration, irritation and pains of game adminning, I just want to help push the game in the right direction, an experience that can be enjoyable for all that so choose to enjoy it, whether that be kicking a shitter in the butt in the hopes that they learn to act right, or banning people that clearly have no interest in behaving in an appropriate manner, to running events that spice up a round on occasion.
