I thought it was somewhat of a grey area just because of how little censorship there is in chat, but like I said I have now read and am familiar with the rules. I also hope it goes without saying that I don’t hold any homophobic or any other sort of bigoted beliefs and I acknowledge that what I said was wrong.

Why you think you should be unbanned: Didn't realize there were rules around IC chat, have thoroughly read through game rules now and it won't happen again. I've got a lot of experience in both SS13 and SS14 and have been known to teach and help new players to understand the game.
