Ah fuck yeah, this idea sounds great. I've always liked the idea of people expanding/building off of their role's purpose, IE a clown trying to cheer people up and putting on shows, a musician teaching others music, librarians educating others, it all sounds like really fun RP ideas. Most of the time, when you play a role like musician or clown, you do what the role is known to do, which means endlessly slipping people and honking, and sitting in the bar playing Tool midis (me). I've actually tried teaching someone piano man on harmonica once on MRP, and I really want to try that show idea and possibly make a music program to teach the crew how to play instruments, as well as providing my understanding of music theory (may need discord cooperation with midis and such, though). The only thing here that might be worth noting is that there isn't a psychiatrist role available on all maps, although, the chaplain can be a good substitute tbh.
I feel like chaplains are underused in RP. Most chaplain RP I've seen isn't spiritual guidance, confessionals, or overall helping others, but endlessly proselytizing whatever belief they have (IE "Kudzu my lord in Kudzu" spammed on radio). I think the more social chaplains should try fill in for the psychologist a bit, offering spiritual guidance and advice on improving mental and emotional health rather than prescribing antidepressants. One thing to remember, though, is that RP is two sided. It requires cooperation from the other party, too, which may be harder to find on LRP. Usually, when I play chaplain on MRP, I go out and cover for the chef if they're absent, or help them serve food in order to help the people of the station. I clean up the bar, serve the food on plates, and accompany it with drinks, and overall, it makes the bar look much nicer while providing food for the crew.
