The ban has absolutely nothing to do with Brazil.

Looks like the ban is for something you did in a sister community that we’re mirroring here. @moony This is going to be denied but I’ll let moony make the post with the reason why.

Why’d you leave to avoid talking to an admin about it? This is the second time you have left to avoid ahelp discussion. It’s not a coincidence. Address this, please.

Upon discussion with the rest of this team we’re going to deny this appeal for two reasons. 1. That’s such a laughably bad excuse for ban evasion that we’re not interested in humoring it. 2. Your excuse doesn’t even hold water anyway because you tried connecting from another IP. File another appeal in one week that actually owns up to what you tried to do.

I'm going to tell you pretty much the same things I told rangomanta. For clarification, the chief reason for your ban was for metacommunication. Using a program to discuss gameplay with a friend outside of the game is chiefly against our rules, and is outlined in rule 11, as written below: It is perfectly fine to make friends over space station 14. But when you exchange info in the middle of a round, then both go rob security lockers/attempt to rob security officers, then that gets you a ban. Remember to keep all discussion about an ongoing game of space station 14 inside the game of space station 14. In addition, I am going to tell you that "not knowing" the rules is not a defense. We force all players to spend 45 seconds looking at the rules before loading in. You agreed to the rules when you first logged on to a Wizard Den server. You are expected to follow them and be familiar with them. Your ban time is being reduced to five days. You will be able to play again on March 14th.

My logs didn’t show you feeding the majority of your “test subjects” anti-rads. Just you feeding multiple people “speed pills” and then, later, “biden pills”, which were both 30u of Unstable Mutagen. The fact that you left during the round when I ahelped you for doing that tells me you knew it then too. You shouldn’t be feeding AFK people poison. AFK people can come back and rejoin the round. If an AFK person dies and isn’t scanned then they’ll be forced to play a ghost role when they return instead of being able to be in the round, which isn’t fair to them. If you need things to test on, order monkeys. Or better yet, just wait until you’re traitor. And then there’s the other part of the ban. I’m not even sure what to do with that. We’ve all been victims of frustrating play but the fact that you chose to insult the player’s ethnicity instead of the way he played, and then switched from LOOC to OOC to make sure he saw it, is absolutely unacceptable to me and the rest of the team. I’m going to deny this. Appeal again in one week.

Because it shows further disregard for the rules. You’re trying to circumvent the punishment for breaking the rules. We don’t want to put people who continually break the rules back in the game. Draw a parallel to “time out” when you were a kid. If a kid gets put in time out and tries to leave time out, then they get more time out. Same principle here. Doesn’t matter if you succeeded or not. The fact that you tried is the issue.

Surely you saw the message that you got when you tried to connect with lactosechicken. Why did you choose to not include any of this in your appeal?

I’m confused. Why did you need to kill your friend ingame? I can’t think of a reason your friend would need to call you on to the server to kill them.

Not going to acknowledge the other part of your ban message? We don’t hand out permas for using OOC chat incorrectly. We hand out permas for people coordinating in voice calls outside of the game, which is what your ban message says you did.

Alternatively you could argue that this is a demonstration about how you don't comprehend things like admin messages- or rules.

You have been banned multiple times before for self-antagging, including a previous perma. What made you think that you could purposefully black hole the station as non-antag this time?

The problems that arise when you pick a troll name (such as Racist) is that you also have to accept what happens when people respond to the trolling. In this case, an admin decided that having a person walking around with the username Racist was a bit of a bad look for the game- regardless of how well you actually play in the round. It doesn't make much sense to call that a discriminatory ban. Your name is literally the noun for racial discrimination. The in-game character name of Hardy Woodstein doesn't help your case either. FWIW I followed you in a round and your gameplay is actually very good. I am not opposed to you rejoining the game, perhaps under a different account name. But that comes down to your banning admin and what the rest of the team thinks.
