can i just play on lizard tbh

A complete history of my time on upstream first day of play, welderbombed someone 20 seconds before endscreen, banned for 12 hours, went to the disc and complained about this, not having the since gained context of the community culture and the importance of the rules in this community, my ban was extended for "bragging" which is in no way what i was intending to or ended up doing. waited that ban out, joined and played generally without incident for 2 weeks until i was banned for this*, for which i immediately apologized to liltenhead in stream chat as well as later in dms, from his words i felt forgiven. my first appeal was denied, i waited 2 weeks and posted my second appeal, which sat on the forums for a week, where i then pointed out the vast differences in my experiences on other servers, having been given a warning and a chance to correct my behaviour before a ban. and how that was not the case on upstream. i posted this message on june 29th, had you been working on the new policy, i would assume that would have been mentioned to me, instead of getting a quick snooty response my unban request denied out of,, hmm i think we can call it spite. i waited another 9 days for my vacation to transpire and posted this one. *you were the one who banned me, and it is my belief that i almost got away with it, as i said sorry and was left to my own devices for about a minute, i then sent another ahelp, saying that the macro i had used was easily set up and easily preventable, with a suggestion to curb future users of it. you, in a bit of a tone, said that the devs werent gonna tune around the fix for people using it legitimately and my ban was doled out a few seconds later. it is entirely possible the delay was entirely made up of you preparing my ban, but thats not exactly how i see it. simply put, i am not a problem player, i play on deltaV and frontier just fine. i dont break the rules. you guys caught me in my first day of play, and have caught me twice defending myself, the first time a bit rudely i will admit, but otherwise i was simply stating my own opinion, and was punished for it. we must be honest with ourselves, my transgression was barely deserving of any ban at all, a warning and a clarification that that was against the metacomms rules would have stopped it and set me straight in perpetuity. it is only because of personal animosity that was created that i have been banned as long as i have. after this response i do not really care, if i am unbanned at any date i will join and be a model player and never catch even a bwoink again. if i am denied again i will not submit another unban request, i will play on deltaV, frontier, and dedicate myself fully to my own servers that are in the works. it is very clear i am not wanted on upstream. hello. may 17th, the date of my first ban. is 19 days away from June 5th, the date of my second and only other ban. i would love to hear your train of thought that implies i have been banned 3 times in the span of 15 days. are you getting confused and thinking a my 2 denied appeals for this minor incident is a new ban? are you getting confused and mistaking you changing the terms of my ban to allow my brother to play on the same IP are new bans? are you getting confused and looking through my player logs to see other instances where i was not banned for some grievance, and now, retroactively counting them as bans in order to deny this one?

SS14 account username: StinkoBrinkley / terezi4real if it changes idk i guess theres a delay Ban reason: Metacomms/Macro Use Date of ban: June 5th Length of ban: Appeal Events leading to the ban: Yall already know lets be real here, lilten was streaming, i went over to him and we both got flushed into singulo, i used a macro i had been using to le funny spam squeak as hammy to say "hi liltenhead" and was then banned, then my appeal was denied, my second appeal sat for a week, i became emboldened with the fire of a greytide scorned and posted an essay in discord about how it was my opinion the "the ban is the warning" system i felt the mod team employed was negatively impacting players and creating more work for the mods, that got my appeal denied, and then i went on vacation, i have returned and there appears to be some changes to the ban policy getting set up... aint that somethin. Reason the ban should be removed: look guys, im a cool dude i live my life with an effort to leave others be if i cant help them. but i felt wronged, and i reacted, and that has created a spiral that has led to us having a whole lot of animosity, i never wanted this, i love this game and i want to get back on upstream, you guys have really been going at it this past month, some dope ass additions. the only other problem ive caused was welderbombing someone on my first day of play, im not gonna metacomm, as i said in my essay the ahelp was enough to set me straight. i humbly ask you give me a chance and i will prove i am a positive force on the server, i will never self antag, metagame, metacomm, textspeak, metagrudge or break any other rules for as long as i play, i promisse, you can watch me 24/7 and if i slip up once you can deliver me a perma and i will never return. deal?

SS14 account username: StinkoBrinkley Ban reason: stream sniping / metacomms Date of ban: 6/2 Length of ban: Appeal Ban Events leading to the ban: liltenhead was streaming on lizard, i was hammy in the round and went to the kitchen after tuning in to the stream so that i could see myself, me and lilten were both flushed down disposals which were rerouted to singulo, we were both dying to space and singulo. i said hi liltenhead and spammed up and enter to say it a bunch of times to have it show up on stream to be funny. Reason the ban should be removed: this ban was over 2 and a half weeks ago, and in that time i have played over 80 hours of deltaV MRP. i have been melted and reformed in the mold of MRP and will be a model player on Lizard and Leviathan. As well, i have served my time for my offense and understand how what i did was character breaking and metacoms and how it was against the rules. I have personally apologized to liltenhead who assured me he had no hard feelings. I am very eager to get in and experience the large amount of exciting changes made in my absence.

Reason the ban should be removed: it was a one time event due to the rarity of dying to singulo as a hamster next to a streamer you are watching. it will not happen again and i no longer have the macro set up.

SS14 account username: [StinkoBrinkley] Ban reason: ["bragging about 12 hour ban in for your epic welderbomb grief in the discord and epicly pwning the "lamebrain mod" that banned you for it"] Date of ban: [5/17/23] Length of ban: [Five Days.] Events leading to the ban: [ Round 1: Evac is called, i walk around the evac room with a lit welder asking people to follow me into maints, people, obviously, do not follow me. i ask everyone in the room and someone says yes, we walk through maints for about a minute, evac has already left at this point, we finally find fuel in the maints and i stare at him for about 20 seconds then welderbomb us. he tells me to kms as a ghost and then about 60 seconds later the round endscreen pops up and were back to the lobby. Round 2: i recieve a adminmessage asking why i did that, i say it was just a little bit of shittery at the end of the round and that i wont do it again. mod presses me and says its self antagging as the roundend screen hadnt shown yet, i say yes it is but the guy i killed made it out okay as he is currently alive same as me. i then receive a 12 hour ban. Discord: i post in #stories about the same thing i posted here. people respond in a variety of ways, someone says i deserve my ban and i write another message with my opinion that the context of the round ending so soon after means a 12 hour ban is a little harsh. i say that the "lamebrain mod is bored and wants someone to punish" lamebrain is a joking insult from my discord server, i dont mean any hate with it sorry. ] Reason the ban should be removed: [I quickly deleted my message in the discord (as in, before this ban was even doled out guessing by the UTC time) as i was clouded by emotion, i should have waited an hour before posting anything, or not posted at all. i am still steadfast in my opinion that my 12 hour ban was a little too harsh for my transgression, but i understand that the rules must be kept strict if the game is to function, and i hold the rules in high regard, i am a member of the community, i have around 100 hours so far, i have fun in the bar, i teach newbies science and get shit done as RD, i am always kind, helpful, and cool to my servermates, and i am developing a fork. i love this game deeply and want to play, as does my brother, who shares my IP and is affected by this ban. 5 days is an extremely long time, and i already learned my lesson with the 12 hour ban. i apologize for being annoying in the discord, i have learned to allow the situation to settle before posting anything. i will also not welderbomb anyone again and will keep all shittery withheld until after the round end screen.] thank you and i love this game -terezi
