Uh, ok...this isn't about any single person, I do not care about your specific ban. I know from being a nukie (as well as crew) that having the round just end due to a random explosion (not the nuke) feels terrible. As I asked the creation of a maxcap takes a certain amount of time and the situation where a maxcap is allowed only lasts like 300ish seconds (not enough time to make one) meaning in my mind maxcaps by nonantags are always against the rules.

This has been a recurring issue on Lev due to certain atmos techs always making maxcaps when ever war is announced or when stealth ops are discovered. I know the rule is generally maxcaps are not allowed for nonantags as they are akin to mass sabatoge of your own station, however, when the situation is truly dire (armed nuke) most things are allowed (even suicide bombing). My question is the creation of the maxcap is always a "just in case" which is explicitly against the rules for nonantags. There is simply not enough time to create a maxcap and move said maxcap in range once the nuke armed so would not the creation of a maxcap by any nonantag always be against the rules?

Alright, these are the rules mostly as I understood them for LRP. The confusion, for me, comes from the reasonable suspicion part. I understand this is probably a grey area, but I assumed that reasonable suspicion has to be articulated to the warden/HoS before initiating a search (warrant issue) or at the very least on the security channel. Am I to understand that officers can simply search if they have a good reason to justify it to themselves (and the admins) as long as their reason falls outside of "intuition" without any conversation with anyone, even the accused?

I had an incident occur on a LRP server where I was a bystander to what I thought was an illegal search. A security officer walked up to a masked man who was playing an arcade game in arrivals and batoned him without any conversation on green alert and cuffed him. I told the officer you need consent for search on green alert, but he found an esword during his search and he ended up being a stealth nukie justifying his search after the fact. The officer just told me "he fit a description" since his face was hidden. I told him looc in the moment and after in ooc that it was not a legal search, but was told by an admin that security can search people randomly by baton cuffing on any alert since space laws only applies to MRP. I'm just trying to clarify that security can indeed baton cuff search anyone they want at any time, but they can't perform unauthorized executions or wrongful/too-long imprisonments. I understand this is a specific instance and perhaps things were happening I was not aware of, but still, my question stands. I'm used to playing on MRP from SS13 so forgive me if this seems obvious.

To be clear at no point did I disobey any order. I was actively doing as I was told until I got hit by the det who I already didn't think was playing fairly. At that point it all got out of hand and I ahelped it to try and deescalate it.

I guess that fair, but I was trying to turn in my gear when the det attacked me. It no one asked me to turn in my gear to HoS and I guess I should have thought of that. I was throwing everything onto the counter of the HoP when he attacked with very little conversation other than give me your gear which in my mind I was actively doing. HoS never asked me to turn in my gear despite the fact I was on the radio. How exactly do you want me to deal with this in future, I did no escalation other than not wanting the Det who I still think was being very abusive to kill/perma me.

I have a pending ban appeal that might answer this question, but I really want a straight answer on it. If I feel a player is being abusive but in character have a good deal of authority how exactly should I handle it as to not be banned. If a HoS/captain is being very abusive IE hitting people at random or permaing people for very minor offences should I just put in an ahelp and accept the abuse or can I do something about it in character. I defended myself from what I thought was an abusive player and ate a week long ban for it. I appreciate that from an neutral point of view their conduct may not constitute abuse even though I really think it should. How should I deal with this in future especially if being actively hit and arrested.

I was trying to turn in my equipment when the det harm batoned me my man. Also I tried to tell you the det was being abusive and you just insulted me for it hence my decision to quit since it was clear you didn't believe me . Also snide? you said I was half the sec that the det was. After being attacked in the HoP line I tried to explain but all that happened was the Det insulting me and saying he was gonna perma/kill me. I then radioed that I just wanted a job change either by you or cap. I came to HoP where he harm batoned me AGAIN. How am I supposed to take that. And yeah fair I could have handled it better but I really didn't want to be at the mercy of the det who I had seen repeatedly abuse people. Ie hitting them with harm batons and insulting people at random.

The alert level was red so the Warden handed out shotguns, I did not obtain the weapon illegally. Got pretty disgusted with the Det and his conduct. Told HoS who insulted me for not being ok with abusive Det so I told him I was quitting. Went to hop where I started to hand in all my gear. The det started harassing me and I told him to fuck off as I continued to turn in my gear. He then attacked me with harm baton so I cuffed him. I didn't trust him to not try and perma me after embarrassing him in the HoP line so I wanted Cap to change my job. He then attacked me in the hall with harm baton AGAIN so I shot him to get him to stop as I had turned in ALL my other equipment and would have turned in the shotgun to HoP if he didn't stop me from doing so. He then Killed me with his gun. Reason the ban should be removed: Not really sure how you want me to handle this situation. I called an admin to help but didn't seem to matter. The det was clearly abusive, should I just let him be abusive and perma me? Any guidance would be great. Regardless I'm not playing on lizard ever again cause its always that way. Just let me play on Miros where people actually want to roleplay and not power game or live out their power fantasies.
