Regardless of what you might think about Karl Marx and his ideologies, I believe he framed it well when he said:
"Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary."
In this case, my arms were a botany scythe that I used to cut wheat from hydroponic pools and authoritarian heads from authoritarian bodies. (Attempted to separate authoritarian heads from authoritarian bodies. The authoritarians won...)
What did lead me to believe castle doctrine was in effect? As a botanist, Nanotrasen specially put me in charge of defending and honoring the tools of the craft, as well as the fruits of the hydroponics system; from all threats. Both foreign and domestic. Security's job is to protect the people of the station, and while that does include protecting the people from the people, that was not the context that this situation took place in. They were bullies who had a need to impose their will on others and when others fight back, security cripples the supply of food to the station.
All this is under the pretense of course, that this is a silly video game that in this instance, got taken too far. I've had a blast teaming up with security guys to beat the shit out of spiders and meat monsters, and whenever I play medical I only drug the clowns, instead of security. Thank you for the response Chief_Engineer.
