I role captain on Barratry, act upset about this. I wine about it over command radio, and I believe CE agreed in my opinion of calling shuttle, whether or not this was genuine, I'm unsure. I want to clarify, the other heads were neutral in this decision, or at least I believe. I made a couple announcements over the communications console of this, people were mostly against it. At the time I knew this would lead to severe consequences, but for whatever reason I went along with it. I see now that this was a stupid decision. Eventually, shuttle arrived much to the protest of the station people. I boarded on and the shuttle of course got bombed, so by the time it docked most were injured or dead. After having died once it docked, I panicked having realized my actions and left. Reason the ban should be removed: I understand my actions fully, I know it is unacceptable to take the fun away from a round by being selfish and a general nuisance to the crew. Others would not do the same, but for whatever reason I committed to this dumb decision. I don't believe I deserve forgiveness, but I have learned from my past actions. I can only apologize for what I had done that round, and hopefully that and my explanation helps. If it's not too much to ask, I'd appreciate a more descriptive explanation of what rules I broke so I know to avoid doing such in the future. I've read the rules extensively, but I may have missed some parts, and I know that doesn't excuse my actions. Once again, I apologize for the round I had ruined. Hopefully you understand now.

Length of ban: Appeal only Events leading to the ban: (some details may be wrong, been a while) Rolled Captain on Barratry, promptly wined about it over radio like the grown person I am. CE said he only had two staff, one of which went SSD and wanted shuttle (whether he was serious or not, I am unsure). Pretty sure we had no RD (or low Sci staff), so things were off to a bad start. Made vote over comms console for shuttle (unsure whether I did this jokingly or not, did commit to it, however). Vote ended in a 50/50 or closer to a 60/40, so I decided to just do it. Of course, people got mad. Was deciding whether or not to recall, but my then the shuttle was 220 seconds away and I couldn't recall for whatever reason. Reason the ban should be removed: I feel my behavior was indeed worthy of a role ban, that I cannot critique. But considering how much time has passed since that, I've learned the privileges of being Captain. I don't quite feel like I can explain my behavior that night, but I do apologize. I've learned from the errors I've made, and though arrogance isn't a valid excuse, I do feel like I've done my time. If this appeal isn't enough, I am more than willing to prove myself.

According to steam, 211 hours. I do often leave the launcher open though, so it may be lower than that. How many hours are you available per day: About 8 hours a da on the normal weekday, this may vary sometimes. I try to play a round or two near 6 PM to 8. Days you are available on: Almost everyday. I often stay up at night (unhealthy habit, I know), so I'll probably be active even late into a weekday. Prior administration experience (SS13 experience recommended). Please also post a way for us to verify this: None. I believe I've had some experience in authority roles, but besides that I haven't been an admin before. Have you been banned from our game servers or SS13 servers before? I have been warned for using the name of a fictional character. I believe that's the most trouble I've been in with admins before. I have shit memory, so I may be wrong. This is the more essay-y part of the application, you should answer the following questions in detail, so we can get a better idea of how you'd approach adminning. What role do you think game admins serve on our servers? Admins are trusted members of the server. They are designed to punish rule breakers, listen to player feedback, and help players as they must. Admins are supposed to be unbiased in their punishments, and are to apply the server rules to everyone in the server. They are to make the roleplay and general gaming experience better by banning/warning the common shitters and be of assistance to lost people. When there are no rule breakers on the server that day - which is a rare day - they are to make sure things don't go too long. Sometimes, admins may spice up the round. This is not the primary objective of an admin, but rather an event to cause excitement for players aboard the station. In all, admins should punish rule breakers fairly and just and they should listen to players. How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the server? I myself have not seen too much roleplay on the server. I feel that this is mainly due to the mentality that it isn't enforced to roleplay, which can be both bad and good. Sometimes, you may have a great MRP session on the round, other times not so much. Roleplay is in the eye of the beholder, after all. Personally, I am a bit of a supporter of MRP. I have had a handful of MRP experiences throughout the game, but the times where I haven't didn't particularly take a dwell on the game either. MRP may be preferred by some just as LRP is. Although, an MRP experience (from my knowledge) is mostly isolated. By that I mean: The Service Crew could be having drinks and reminiscing on good times, maybe even having a good laugh or two with one another while the Command Crew is making poopoo jokes in the midst of a nuclear operative attack. My main idea here is that MRP is a rare sight because of lack of enforcement. And honestly, I see no problem with that. Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14? I feel like I don't see much moderation going around (no offense to the admins). I may just be seeing things through a greytide's lenses, but things seem to be in that chaotic state usually where an admin would intervene. I may just be over exaggerating. I also would like to be able to contribute to this community more. I love it so much and I'd hate to see it collapse due to some shitters driving away the actual rule-abiding players. Me being an admin could open up more opportunities for me to actually make a good difference in this great server. Events Leading to Ban: Once again, uncertain. After my power had shut down while I was in a match, I came back and it was like this. I dunno if this has been covered already and I'm being a big idiot or not, but I'd like this to be cleared up. Reason the Ban Should be Removed: I feel that this is unjustified. Unless I broke some rule I hadn't heard of, I think this should be removed. Note: I did let a free-for-all happen in my bar yesterday, but I feel that would be mentioned in the Ban Reason part. If this has already been brought up somewhere, I am sorry. It could be a problem with my router/internet.
