Ban reason: Meta-Comms Length of ban: Permanent Events leading to the ban: Ill try to do my best to describe it, however this was 7 months ago so it is foggy. From what I remember, I was in a VC with my friend, we had been playing on this server for awhile together, (not metacomming before this event) He was on the same time as me, so I called him and we were chatting, nothing about the round just chatting. Eventually I asked what he was doing because I was curious, I didnt plan on acting on that information. He said that he was in the HoPs office before they left their window open and ID in the computer. I jokingly said, you should give me AA. He said, sure as long as I roleplay it. So I went over to him, and we roleplayed why I should get AA from him, and he gave it. Eventually, captain called the shuttle even though it was against popular vote, so RD had made a comms computer, and told me to recall the shuttle, cause they knew I had AA. I recalled, everyone cheered on radio, then captain called it again, and it was a huge back and forth. Eventually he orders sec to find me, sec does find me, but they wanted the shift to continue, so they didnt do anything to stop me. Eventually while the recall battle was going on, I got bwoinked. I was asked how I got access to comms console. (I was a mime) I told him I blackmailed the RD for it, (we did RP doing that, so I wasnt lying) while I was talking with him, my friend also got bwoinked and got a temp ban for giving me access. I said to the admin that the RD shouldnt be punished for it cause I blackmailed him ingame. The admin got aggressive saying stuff like "howd you know he was banned" etc. And after a bit of back and forth, I got perma banned. Reason the ban should be removed: Ever since I got banned 7 months ago, I have been playing on other servers, a main one being nyanotrasen, currently known as Delta-V. I havent had any issues here, for the seven months Ive been playing. I rarely talk to my friend aswell since we are both busy. Currently I am a game admin for Delta-V, so I have a much better understanding and interpretation of rules. I regret what I did, but I know that it will no longer be and issue anymore. I have had plenty of time to learn and advance my roleplaying skills. Aswell as even gain an administrative position.

I was a mime running around, I noticed hops office was open and saw RD jump in and give himself aa. The Rd was my friend and I sent him a message saying I was gonna blackmail him, mostly as a joke. But he went with it and gave me aa. Of course as a mime I’m gonna cause mischief. RD had an extra comma console in his room and I went to go mess with it. I starting announcing things. Then the shuttle was called, I noticed a lot of people on radio saying to recall and even some command. So I had a recall battle with the unjust shuttle caller. Eventually an admin Messaged me and asked why he gave me aa and a bunch of other stuff. I said I blackmailed him and such, couple minutes later, I was perm banned for metacomms Reason the ban should be removed: [Personally I don’t think this one incident of my before clean record should call for perm ban. Secondly, I’ve been playing on nyanotrasen since my van here. I’ve definitely improved in my role play. And metacomms won’t be an issue for me anymore. I’ve learned from my past mistakes and hope I could play on this server again. I am also an avid player of delta, Ive gotten better at RP, and have definitely learned. I got their attention the way mines normally do, aggressively pointing at them. It was really just a lucky guess, I was always taught to ask for something greater than what you actually want and work your way down, that way what you actually want doesn't seem as bad. Lucky for me he took my second offer.

1. While I was in prison I overheard the RD talking to HoS about using perma prisoners for testing, much later in the game I got the RDs attention and wrote a note (I was a mime after all) saying how I heard him talking about it, he got very nervous and agreed to giving me something. At first I asked for all access but he said that was too much, so instead I asked for All access minus heads, he was hesitant but agreed. 2. At first I thought I didnt see him on the manifest, but apparently I was mistaken and he was on it, I accepted my fault to the admin, but pointed out his attitude which furthered my suspicion. 3. I did, he was usually an RD so I recognized him name and looks. I cant recall any major interactions between us, other than small talk.

Later in the game an admin messaged asking who gave me AA, told him the previous sentence. I then noticed that the RD wasnt in game anymore, I told the admin "I dont think the RD should be punished, we both acted in character" The admin then got very defensive which confirmed my assumption, he accused me of metacomms saying I wouldve only known that if the person DMd me on discord. I dont know that RD, but even IF that was the case, that wouldnt be metacomming as all the information was exchanged over an admin chat, not in character. Reason the ban should be removed: I dont feel what I did was perma ban worthy

Chief_Engineer messaged me in game asking who gave me all access, I told him I blackmailed in character, an RD earlier in game into giving me BASIC aa, no access to heads. I noticed the RD vanished from the game after, I brought it up to the admin saying, I dont think you should punish the RD seeing as it was all in RP. The admin then very quickly assumed I was meta-comming for my deductive reasoning. Even IF (if, I am not saying he did) I got DM'd saying something like "I got banned for giving AA" I dont see how that would be metacomm, because I only told the admin in our message, NOT in rp. TL;DR I got banned for figuring out someone else got banned and brought it up when an admin messaged me.
