  3. i also wanted to add that I have 850 hours so far on SS14.
  4. In-game Username: Munday Discord username: Bwoink Characters you play: I usually play as a Security Officer or Engineer as Clon Clover. How many hours are you available per day: I can dedicate around 4 to 6 hours per day. Days you are available on: I'm available from Monday to Friday. Are you at least 18 years old? Yes, I'm over 18. How long have you been playing SS13 or SS14? I've been playing SS13 for about 1 year with 900 hours. Do you have prior administration experience (SS13/SS14 experience preferred, please also post a way for us to verify this)? Yes, I have previous administration experience on Project Zomboid and Gmod. There is no evidence for this. Have you been banned from our game servers or SS13 servers before? No, I've never been banned from any SS13 servers. Answer the following questions in detail, so we can get a better idea of how you'd approach adminning. What role do you think game admins serve on our servers? As a game admin, I see myself as a mediator and enforcer of the server rules. My main goal is to ensure that all players have a fair and enjoyable experience. I'll be there to address any issues, handle player reports, and take appropriate actions against rule violations. Moreover, I believe it's important to foster a positive and inclusive community, so I'll strive to create a welcoming environment and promote good sportsmanship. How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the server? Roleplay is an integral part of SS14, and I fully support it. It enhances the immersion, sparks creativity, and adds depth to the gameplay. As an administrator, I'll actively encourage and promote roleplay by engaging with players, organizing events, and facilitating RP-focused interactions. Of course, I'll also address any instances where roleplay standards are not being met and provide guidance to help players improve their roleplaying skills. Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14? I have a genuine passion for the game and its community, and that's why I'm excited about the opportunity to become an administrator for SS14. I genuinely enjoy helping others, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that everyone has a positive experience. With my prior administration experience and in-depth knowledge of the game, I believe I can effectively contribute to the success of the server. I'm eager to assist both new and experienced players, creating a thriving and supportive environment for everyone. Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact? While banning problematic players is necessary at times, there are other admin actions that can make a significant positive impact. These include: Mediating disputes: As an admin, I would step in to mediate conflicts between players, promoting open communication and finding resolutions that satisfy all parties involved. This helps maintain a harmonious and respectful community. Educating players: I see it as part of my role to provide guidance and explanations to players who may be unfamiliar with certain game mechanics or rules. By helping players understand the game better, we can foster a more inclusive and knowledgeable player base. Organizing events: I believe hosting events is a fantastic way to bring the community together. By planning and running events that encourage collaboration, roleplay, or specific objectives, we can create memorable experiences and showcase the unique features of the server. Providing support: As an admin, I'll be available to assist players who encounter technical issues, bugs, or have general inquiries. By being approachable and responsive, I can ensure that players feel supported Scenario 1: As an administrator, my main goal is to ensure that everyone has a great and fair gaming experience. In this scenario, the chaplain approaches me at the start of the round and asks for a task. I would respond to the chaplain, acknowledging their request and appreciating their enthusiasm. However, since the game mode is traitors and the traitors haven't been selected yet, I would explain to the chaplain that traitor tasks are not currently available. I would encourage them to engage in other activities, like assisting different departments or participating in roleplay interactions. This way, the chaplain can still have a meaningful impact on the round while maintaining a balanced gameplay environment. Scenario 2: In this scenario, we have a clown who is using crayons to write negative things about security on the floor. A security officer intervenes, intending to arrest the clown for vandalism. However, before the officer can bring the clown to the brig, a passenger slips the officer and manages to stun another security officer as the clown escapes through disposals. As an administrator, I would closely monitor the situation, ensuring the safety and fairness of the game. First, I would freeze the actions of the passenger and the clown using admin tools, preventing any further disruptions. Then, I would teleport both players to a secure location away from others, to avoid any potential harm or conflicts. Next, I would have a private conversation with both players involved. I would approach the clown and explain that their actions, including the derogatory writings, go against the server's rules and can negatively impact the experience for others. I would give them a warning, emphasizing the importance of respectful behavior. In the case of the passenger, I would also have a conversation, explaining that interfering with the duties of security officers is not allowed. I would provide a warning, highlighting the significance of respecting role boundaries and fostering a cooperative atmosphere. After resolving the immediate situation, I would keep an eye on both players to ensure they comply with the rules and do not engage in similar disruptive behavior in the future. Maintaining a fair and inclusive community is crucial for everyone's enjoyment. Scenario 3: When handling an ahelp about "self-antag" activity from a player who is no longer online, it's essential to gather all available information. I would carefully review the report, considering the provided details and any relevant logs or evidence. Given that the reported infractions are minor and typically warrant a warning, I would make a note of the incident for future reference. If the player comes online later, I would approach them privately to discuss the reported behavior and provide a warning if necessary. I would explain the specific rule violations, emphasizing the importance of following the rules and maintaining a positive gaming environment. If the player continues to exhibit problematic behavior in subsequent rounds, I would escalate the disciplinary actions accordingly, taking into account any previous warnings or reports. Consistency and fairness in enforcing the rules are crucial to fostering a healthy and welcoming community.
  5. In-game Username: Munday Discord username: Munday#4812 Characters you play: Clon Clover How long have you been playing SS13 or SS14? I am currently at my 400-hour mark on SS14 the hours on SS13 are around the 1000-hour mark. How many hours are you available per day: I have recently been playing for at least 5 hours and more daily so either around the 5-hour mark or more. Days you are available: On all days of the week I will be available for the most part. Prior administration experience (SS13 experience recommended). Please also post a way for us to verify this: I have moderated an LFG game discord and I have also been a moderator on a project zomboid server and Garry's mod I have no SS13/SS14 moderation experience though at this current time I am only able to provide the evidence for the LFG discord I moderate as the other moderation experience is far in the past. Have you been banned from our game servers or SS13 servers before? No, I have never been banned from an SS13 or SS14 server What role do you think game admins serve on our servers? I believe game admins serve a huge role in helping newer players find their way and helping older and newer players progress in the round smoothly with the issues that arise during the shift. The admins are the face of the SS14 wizdens community therefore you need to uphold an image and representation so that people look to admins in a good light as any bad interactions can cause issues within the community and possibly people disregarding the rules. Admins have to also enforce rules and warn/ban rule breakers to avoid further issues. This can come in the form of Ahelps from community members that you need to respond to or it can be something seen this applies to both in-game and in discord as the rules should be followed in both platforms. How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the server? it is an LRP server so I'm not expecting HUGE amounts of roleplay such as using emotes often or creating a narrative I do think the roleplay can be improved severely as it only so often that u get a really good roleplay interaction with another person or that a scenario gets played out properly without someone beating a clown half to death in front of you without no context I believe being LRP makes people think that they can do NRP actions without consequences and Remillia using the emotes to talk can throw off an entire roleplay scenario I find a lot of joy seeing people roleplay and not just making poison pills and meth just because they think it is funny the last issue I have with the current roleplay status is HoPs handing out AA for little to no reason and the lack of New life rule also affects roleplay severely when someone dies they should not know how they died "Nancy killed me in medical maints they are syndicate!!" just ruins the round more and the roleplay behind it but I'm happy this is enforced whenever possible. Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14? The reason I want to become an administrator for SS14 is that I find a lot of moments where I see potential rule breakers or blatant rule breaking and there are no admins available at the time frame (GMT+8) and that's when I wanted to contribute and help more instead of the round being affected heavily due to another player. I would like to help contribute to the community IC and OOC as much as possible in situations that arise like HoPs handing out AA or greytiders breaking into engineering to get Insulated gloves just in general stopping non-antag players from doing antag activities I want the newer players to see SS14 as an inviting community and to do that I want to be able to help them and teach them what to do and not to do I also want to become an administrator to alleviate some pressure from other staff members and to handle issues when other staff are not present I feel like there are a lot of opportunities that I have come across to push someone in the right direction, especially regarding the NLR I have informed people OOC that they shouldn't remember anything and told them why and they understood and started following NLR I want to be able to handle ahelps whenever people are coming across issues and to cut down on the rule breakers on the server to better the community that I want to be apart of and I wish to improve the general quality of each shift whenever I can like creating scenarios for people to enjoy and to stop the self-antags and metagamers and for there to be better round and player quality.
