  1. Sorry for the delay. This complaint has been accepted, though RyanStrudfelt was found to not be at fault. Findings "Flame Mingo" and "Flame Mango" are both appropriate names for LRP under the current rules. "Funny Jumper" is not. It is reasonable for an admin to have believed that "Flame Mingo" or "Flame Mango" were not appropriate names for LRP. It is possible that the admin was searching for issues to address, but other name issue ahelps by the admin near the time of this complaint indicate that the admin was likely not specifically seeking to ban anyone. Neither ahelp appears to have been significantly escalated by the admin. In both, the players appear to be causing more significant escalation. Bans in both cases were justified. In the first, a ban can be justified for failing to follow an admin's instructions. The player's 3rd to last and last messages can reasonably be interpreted as an intent to not follow the admin's instructions. In the second, a ban can be justified by the player's last message. The complainant's position about the name rules not being clear enough is moot because the names they claim the rules did not make clear enough are violations of the rules have been found to not be violations of the rules. Resulting Actions Game admins were asked about the appropriateness of the names used, resulting in findings 1 and 2. RyanStrudfelt was contacted about the complaint, leading to finding 3. As a result of finding 1, a note has been made on the complainant's account indicating that they are appropriate under current rules for LRP.
  2. Closing this due to the lack of a response. Feel free to open another ban appeal at any time with the answer to the question above
  3. The admin team has decided to accept this appeal. Role bans are rarely, if ever, applied if you have to leave the game as long as you ahelp before leaving. If you are able to, you should also inform other members of command before doing so and attempt to move to a safe location, like your office. You should always prioritize the real world, even if you think it may result in a role ban. Role bans for disconnecting are often much shorter than ones for issues that involve you still playing. The correct way to avoid these role bans is to not choose to play important roles when you aren't fairly confident that you'll be able to play through the round, and to ahelp if something comes up, not to force yourself to play. It is rare that role bans are applied to players who follow those instructions, and even if a ban is applied, it would likely be much easier to convince admins that you wont need to disconnect during rounds as often than having to convince them that your playstyle has improved.
  4. The admin team has decided to accept this appeal. Please be aware that due to your ban history, any ban in the near future may be elevated to a voucher ban by the admin team, especially if it is the result of a violation of one of our zero tolerance rules.
  5. The admin team has decided to keep this ban in place until it expires. Please remember that the use of slurs, including "retard", is against the rules on our server regardless of if someone informs you that they were offended by it.
  6. The admin team has decided to reject this appeal. You can appeal again no sooner than 1 month from now.
  7. The admin team has decided to accept this appeal. Please be careful around mechanics you don't understand, don't be afraid to ask someone for help in-game.
  8. Due to your attempt to evade your ban, you are banned indefinitely. You may appeal your ban, but only at least 6 months after your last ban evasion attempt, and only with a voucher of good behavior from another SS13/SS14 server. A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server's admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14's Wizard's Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server. A voucher should be indicative of at least a few months of play. If the voucher is not from a mainstream server, let us know and we will figure out a way to verify it.
  9. I'm accepting this appeal based on the severity of the offense, the low number of connections at the time of the offense, and the significant amount of time since the ban was applied. Please ensure you're familiar with the server rules before playing again.

  11. Sorry this appeal wasn't able to be processed before the ban expired. If you'd like to dispute the ban having been applied in the first place, feel free to make a new appeal or staff complaint, but you should already be able to connect to the servers again.
  12. Hi, it looks like your first warning was given on the 20th for a message a few days earlier. This ban was the result of this message which happened around the 25th Feel free to post any updates or additions to this appeal that you feel are necessary while waiting for someone to process it
  13. The admin team has decided to accept this appeal. Please ensure that you're familiar with our server rules before playing again
  14. Since my last update, I've forwarded 4 additional DMs to PMs. PMs are currently investigating, verifying, and discussing the information provided in these DMs
  15. Appeals are generally considered separately, but since the reasons for these bans are the same, communication will likely be focused on the game ban appeal so that there aren't duplicates of everything.
  16. Sorry for the delay, I've been given permission to share more info about the bans: We received multiple reports that you distributed and solicited sexual content from members of the community in ways that made them uncomfortable. None of your DMs to me so far appear to address this. Please feel free to say anything regarding this either on this appeal or in the same DM thread you sent the other appeal messages to. Do not publicly post any information that may identify someone you had these conversations with, doing so, including on this appeal, will likely result in your posts requiring moderator approval at least until the conclusion of this appeal.
  17. Just noting that I edited the appeal by replacing a username with "[removed]". While my edit should not have affected any other part of the appeal, please make a reply if I've introduced any errors so that they can be corrected.
  18. Datacenter bans aren't applied to specific accounts, they're applied to IPs used by things like virtual private networks (VPNs). If you are using a VPN, disabling it should allow you to connect to Wizard's Den servers. If you are not using a VPN or something similar, but still cannot connect, please do any of the following: Join our Discord server and ask for help in the #help channel, saying that you're affected by a datacenter ban Create a topic in the Admin Message section
  19. Alright so just to make sure I'm not missing anything you think is an issue: You feel the admin was searching for people to get in trouble, and over escalated the situation You feel the current rules don't make it clear enough that "Flame Mingo" is not an appropriate name
  20. These are the relevant ahelps I was able to find, am I missing any? The first is yours, the second is the one someone posted on your ban appeal
  21. Is their anything in particular you feel was unjust about the way you were treated, or is it just that a ban was applied? When you say you want to try to get the rules adjusted, what exactly do you mean by that, what sort of adjustment are you hoping would be made?
  22. I know you were directed to staff complaints, but just to clarify, is this a staff complaint or are you just looking for clarification on the name use/rules?
  23. I've received 1 more DM within the same thread and shared it with project managers
  24. I've received 2 more DMs within the same thread and shared them with project managers
