We have issued a strike to the server community Goob Station for violation of the following Space Wizards Hub Rules: 1.1. Do not harass, bully, brigade, defame, or doxx players, developers, or communities. Goob Station has two strikes remaining before their servers are removed from the server hub. This strike will expire in one year (Tuesday, April 16, 2025). Details We had received a player report that a cheat developer was on staff at Goob Station. Upon contacting them about this they removed the staff member in question and no further action was going to be taken. They then forwarded this correspondence to a third party server and used it to instigate harassment of the project manager who contacted them. After contacting them about this they agreed to attempt to stop it.

Reason the ban should be removed: when I was bwoinked to be told about my ban I had asked how long it would be; 7 days, okay, thats fine, I mean I dont think I did anything obscenely wrong I did make a mildly sexual comment which wasnt cool and obviously I take responsibility for that; BUT upon being told about the 7 days instead of arguing and fighting I simply accepted it, the trialmin then proceeded to note my "unphased" demeanor towards the ban they were giving me, and for that reason alone they doubled the length of the ban, which in my opinion is very much power trippy and overstepping, I didnt throw a tantrum, I didnt whine or swear, I was graceful in accepting my ban, and for that it was doubled!? I believe that it should at least be reduced back to the original length or removed alltogether as what I did wasnt even that serious.

All crew on MRP are expected to stay within their job and not do other people's jobs for them, however there are no restrictions on crew knowledge in regards to hacking doors. This applies whether or not the situation is an emergency.

Ban Reason: Self-antag and evading AHelp Ban Time: 10,00 minutes Events leading to ban: It was the end of the round at Evac, I saw a fuel tank on the ship, I didn’t want someone to blow it up so I tried using a circular saw to break it and spill the fuel instead. I have done this before but either it got changed in an update or it was the saw but instead of breaking it blew up. I got spooked and alt+f4ed out of a childish sense of guilt. I know I should have stayed or at least rejoined and talked with admins but at this point it was roughly 3 am and I wanted to head to bed. While I know I made a mistake in leaving the game instead of explaining the situation with admins, I feel 10,000 minutes is too harsh, I hope to at least have the time reduced as I don’t want one dumb mistake I made to cost me this sever.

Length of ban: 3 Days Events leading to the ban: So, in the beginning, I midround joined as the mime, then later got arrested for walking into Bridge with the clown and having a lovely walk around and closing the doors, for jokes, and then we peacefully (not exactly willingly), got arrested. I think the clown was released pretty early on, but the Captain specificly dragged me to sec and stripped me down bear and took EVERYTHING I wore to arrest me, and was also drunk, and it hurt me pretty bad IC, and I wanted to get revenge. So then later, I walked past cargo and saw the HoP smashing the captains head in with an axe, and decided to try dragging him to med while other vultures (tiders) tried to strip him dry, and then I remembered what he had done to me, so i decided to take his PDA and do a little clowning... Then after getting him to med, I left to bridge, and also took the clown with me since were a signature duo on SS14, clearly, all the while the HoP was there blindly letting me do this, so I assumed that, since my boss doesn't mind, that im alright do be doing my jokes, and since they also killed the Captain, I decided to dress myself up for the job, and name myself "Captain Mime", and then took the Clown and the HoP into the caps room to toast my promotion! Also I made the Clown the "HoP's Clown Assistant" with HoP access. at his request, and again the HoP didn't say anything against it. Then I poures some shots of Captains Cuban and toasted! (Throughout ALL of this, I NEVER got Bwoinked at all), then the CE and cap ran in, and immediately the cap decided to start beating the HoP to a pulp, at this point i assumed the cap was a shitter, so i decided to write a note saying something along the lines "Captain, im really sorry about this but you are demoted" and started killing them with the caps sword, took it off the ground when i was dragging him to med from cargo earlier, and the CE decided to start beating me to death with the axe while the cap was crit, and not wanting to harm an innocent head i just jumped down disposals and got myself healed. At this point like half the station has AA because some tider was printing it, so I decided to do some capping and labelled the Cap and CE as wanted, mainly because I wanted to talk to them, but OOC at this point i had overdone it a lot and I knew it, but I hadn't been ahelped at all, so I decided to just not use lethals from that point, went to sec, and grabbed a stun baton as i set the two as Wanted. Some of this may not be 100% accurate because replay is being extremly buggy and not letting me scroll so I can't check it at the moment. Then the (extremely robust) Hugs-the-Void HoS arrested me for arresting the captain and dragging him to sec, but then some secoff uncuffed me so I ran again. At this point the cap wanted me dead but everyone was so viciously confused nothing was being done, so i also arrested the CE, i arrested them both since they were both trying to KoS me essentially. Then brought them to sec, and had to run again since the Cap shouted "ITS THE MIME" or something and im scared im just gonna straight up get shot to death. Later after a big more running around being a funny mime captain, I refused some engis Captain Locker access, as they asked me for it, and then the CE (or cap dont remember) saw me and chased me into a dead end where I froze and let myself be cuffed, and from there the Cap and CE were trying REALLY REALLY hard to not kill me right there and fun, and were clearly having fun (just pointing out for later) and said like "Death is too good for this mime, centcom will give them the ice" and both started laughing maniacally lol. Later on the shuttle some bug let me struggle from my cuffs, and then I got away but it was EOR so it didn't matter. Man that was a bit long, and maybe not 100% accurate since i can't check the replay right now, sorry Reason the ban should be removed: This entire scenario played out as it did because of other Head major skill issues (joke). But in all seriousness I did take it too far, I just hold a vendetta for people who unmask mimes/clowns, always have, and took my revenge against the cap a little too far. I tried to make the conflict as enjoyable as possible for everyone, and tried to minimize actually antagging, other than just robbing. The reason I think it isn't fair I got banned was because, after this round ended, in OOC the cap literally said, quote "OOC: Sonofspaceballs: I WAS THE CAPTAIN AND I FUCKING LOVED THAT SHIFT" (no jokes lmao) and i never ONCE got AHELPED at ALL, furthermore I played into the next shift as a salv during flukie warops, and never ONCE got ahelped about the previous shift, and at the end of the round I randomly got shadowbanned with no warning, no discussion or anything. I don't know who tha banning admin was, I don't know who ahelped me, but I do know that i overdid it with my prank, and will NOT take over the entire station in the name of revenge again, I promise :)

I was talking with one of them at the time and they said I should blow myself up and say that after. After recovering, I said "im gonna stab a bitch" and got a knife from the kitchen, after reporting the player to security and ahelping the situation. I got new virology clothes because i didn't feel comfortable working with 2 people and only 1 machine, and i like the green virology clothes( I usually request title change to Virologist). Later as i was walking the halls, i got sprayed by a make-shift flamethrower, by the same person. I critted them with the knife, got attacked for attacking them, and went to medbay to heal myself/them and called for security, which is where the ahelp questioning started. I told the admin what happened, i got told it was my fault for the explosion for not knowing the ingredients to CLF3 (which is true), that i was over-escalating the issue, and that by grabbing new clothes it was seen as me hunting them. After he was healed, he immediately used the flamethrower on me again while i was arguing in ahelp. My response was "fuck you if you think that bombing was my fault" because of the clear self-antag motivation of the engineer, making bombs and flamethrowers instead of working, and i was already pissed at the fact that i was pretty much out of a job for my ignorance. In my opinion, if you ask someone to do something and it results in their injury, you should be held at least partially responsible, if not take responsibility yourself and say sorry, which the engi did the exact opposite and called me a moron for not giving him the chems in separate beakers. After reviewing the replay, the admin decided to press the issue of me over-escalating, which i disagreed pretty strongly. At this point it was a new shift and i had to leave for IRL work, but the admin saw it as me leaving the discussion. To an extent, i did leave the discussion early because i was angry and didn't want to keep swearing to the admin, but i also let the current shift crew know i was about to leave prior to actually leaving, and the ahelp discussion made me want to quit playing as i'd had enough. ] Reason the ban should be removed: [I think the ban should be removed because i tried to de-escalate the situation by reporting them to sec after the bombing, and i also ahelped the situation before the flame-thrower incident. I do have issues with getting pissed off and lashing out especially when its me being self-destructive, even in game. This has been put to an admin discussion and vote of which we have come to the consensus to issue a voucher requirement for further appeals. The reasons provided in the discussion for this decision were the following: - History of frequent issues - Quantity and recency of past bans You may appeal your ban, but only at least 6 months after your last ban, and only with a voucher of good behavior from another SS13/SS14 server. A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server's admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14's Wizard's Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server. A voucher should be indicative of at least a few months of play. If the voucher is not from a mainstream server, let us know and we will figure out a way to verify it. Appeal Denied - Voucher must be provided on any future re-appeal.

Hello! Sorry about the ban, we were a bit hot on the trigger these days and some of our staff didn't get the reference so we assumed that it was a dog-whistle for LGBTQ hate. In retrospect, it's a pretty good joke but it's something easily that can go over someone's head (and might lead to wrong assumptions). I've reversed the ban, so you should be able to contribute once more. I'm assuming since you're making these sort of jokes you're probably involved in some form of pro-LGBTQ activism, and if so I'd personally like to thank you for standing up for people like myself and others right to be themselves. If you aren't directly involved, that's fine too since you are clearly an ally that cares enough about LQBTQ rights to be making references to Stonewall :P Appeal accepted.

A voucher ban means you cannot make an appeal until 6 months after the posting of your most recent appeal or attempt to ban evade. (At time of writing meaning 6/8/24). Ban Reason: ["Banned for Mass self-antag, blowing up sec with makeshift bombs to free people, avoiding ahelp"] Length Of Ban: [14,400 minutes] Events Leading To The Ban: [Influences Behind The Incident: Dealing with the very tail end of a sickness my family's been experiencing for a while, I found myself once again terribly needing to "Evacuate" in the bathroom before the bombing incident. Additionally dealing with a water deprived headache due to the previous "evacuations", and still being quite a fresh player to the game, (only playing consistently just recently) I had 2 main factors besides the formerly mentioned that influenced me to do it: I had people watching me, A person as smile, and a PAI which someone had chosen. I couldnt back down for some foggy headed reasoning(due to the sickness) that I couldnt disapoint them. I also hate sec, ive never experienced a patient or mature sec during arrests or imprisonment in my time in the game. Even at round start, "shoot now, asks questions after 14 minutes of being detained later" has been the moto for even minor infractions. It could be interpreted as violations of the rules in a lot of the cases ive experienced. I wanted to free those who felt similar to me about their particular sentence. Though the second reason was why i wanted to initially break them out (by safely destroying 2 glass walls). At MOST destorying only the intended glass and only repairably(a quick welding torch) damaging other cells/people nicked by the first charge that goes off. Thus, the 3 reasons above were why it was caused, and are also what influenced me to the ban reason The damage that I remember with certainty: the 1 tile window besides HOS door destroyed completely, people were injured but not crit(unconfirmed but more probable then firebombs killing a fully geared up sec with time to react after first fire bomb goes off) and 2 prison cells completely destroyed of windows and doors. The ahelp: Main reason for "avoidance" is stated at the start but I additionally also immediately took a shower: I joined back after finishing cleaning up the "main reason" but my autistic needs have me needing to feel clean so I hopped in. (ahelp chatlog=proof if needed, I simply stood there. afk.). I noticed ahelp after the shower. Additional and relevant information -made an effort that no one was game removed, (fire bombs are to weak to kill instantly) -had planned and done no permanent damage(reasonably unrepairable damage) aside from 2 prison cells, -No specific person was the target of this, -It was my specific character quirk to not like security, -I have a style of play which over indulges in bits on occasions -This point might hold little weight depending on the reviewer, but I wished for it to be an event in good fun. I've heard a few times now that 'listening to the community is bad game design.' Sense the last post was locked before I could comment on that, I will do that here. Software design is the design of the tool for the user. Devs, when doing their job properly, live in service of the community that use their tools. If the devs feel that it's their job to dictate to the community what the community should want, especially in a Free Software project, they really should stop being devs and go find something else to do. This is a difficult enough mindset to fight in 'proprietary land.' But, as was noted in the previous post, at least there people can vote with their wallets and cause a project or company that ignores its community to go bankrupt if a critical mass doesn't like the direction of the project. Sadly, Free Software projects doesn't give the users that ability to defend themselves from the whims of the devs. The main saving grace that Free Software has that proprietary doesn't is forking. People faced a similar situation with GNOME 3. Everyone hated GNOME 3. They tried reasoning with the devs. They tried begging the devs. They tried bending GNOME 3 over backwards with community made extensions to try to add back in functionality that the wayward devs of GNOME 3 kept stripping out. Finally, when the devs of GNOME 3 proved totally not open to reason, they forked the project into MATE. Major distros that used to use GNOME 3 eventually dropped it for other options because of how badly it sucks. It became the laughing stock of graphic desktops; all because it refused to fallow user design. I had it out with them for some time in their forums before I eventually switched to KDE Plasma to finally get away from the insanity of a project that absolutely refused to listen to its users. I really don't see a game as any different than a tool or any other project in that regard.

Their other incidents include: - Their 18+ server Amour was listed on the hub for several weeks and advertised but not marked as 18+ in any form (description or hub tag) against hub rule 1.4. Typically our first response is ask the recipient being harassed to either leave the community, or if widespread raise it with their staff. Neither of which would result in a strike. If it is more serious, potentially life-ruining accusations being thrown around without evidence, especially where the police have been involved, e.g. swatting or pedophilia (as was conducted by White Dream) we take a much harsher stance on the matter. 2. > The Wizdens, aka the Officials, didn't just let us down - they sabotaged us. For a whole year, almost every month, we fought off childish accusations of "racism", "harassment" and "brigandising". Our every word - tested and evaluated under the prism of schizophasia that thrives in skulking Wizdenians. Our every action - ridiculed and then used for further attacks. And we endured. We receive several reports on White Dream's behaviour every month. Most of these we investigate and find no evidence of strike behaviour and no further contact is given. In some instances we follow up with White Dream which seemed to become a regular occurrence, both in Oniks' DMs and also a groupchat with several heads. They asked us to take discussions to Hostbus instead which they decided to use as evidence we did not wish to communicate with them anymore which is untrue. 3. > We tolerated it when the Wizdens did nothing when our build was decompiled on Arumoon. This is a lie, we issued a strike to Arumoon over this We also updated the hub rules to address violating licences of other servers. 4. > We bitched when it was revealed that Nyanotransen was kicked out of the hub because host Nyano found out and started talking about the fact that there was a paedophile zoophile sitting among the wizdens who still holds his position. This comment is both false and transphobic (it is well known that the staff member in question uses female pronouns). Nyano staff spread fake rumors after they were dehubbed and Oniks is reversing events to make their lies look better. We tried many, many times to contact them about their community from late 2022 to April 2023 until they were dehubbed. Additionally any further comments from Nyanotrasen trying to harass the staff member will result in legal action being taken by the staff member personally. 5. > We bitch when the Wizden outright sabotaged our complaints about corvax by reiterating the fact that they are just plain mates and nothing would ever happen to them anyway. Like how many reports about White Dream did not provide sufficient evidence of a strike, White Dream's information about Corvax also did not provide sufficient evidence of a strike. Additionally, you also accused another server of violating your wiki license when you were also violating corvax's wiki license. You also mostly provided evidence of wrongdoing by other servers as a reactive measure after we contacted you about White Dream's conduct. In very few instances (e.g. reporting Arumoon as decompiling your closed source fork) did you proactively report incidents without first being contacted about White Dream's conduct. 6. >We bitched when the Wizdens started getting leaks from private chat rooms where I discuss the fact that there's a paedophile amongst them, and they forced* to either ban me or make sure I don't appear in public. This is also yet another easily proveable lie from Oniks by applying events out of order. Oniks stepped down on September 10th and this was raised with White Dream 10th of October well after Oniks decided to step down. 7. > They keep dossiers on every host and use them to explain their "dislike" later. They have my dossier too. We store evidence for later reference. After we banned a former Project Manager we became much better about keeping receipts as required. 8. > One of the reasons Nyano was dehubbed was because of a moderator who turned out to be a paedophile. There are practically two pages of dehub dedicated to him, with logs of his posts. He was a moderator on Nyano for less than 45 minutes. Currently, he's still a moderator on Wizden friendly servers and has plaques in Wizden's discord. Rane on the other hand is in absolute perma and people get banned for the mere mention of him. This is another lie, the admin in question has been banned for over 8 months and he was an admin on Nyanotrasen for significantly longer. Nyano made a large number of random people staff members after being contacted about their community (again, before any sort of rumour spreading on their side). We also have not banned anyone for mentioning Rane. 9. > Wizden has banned half of their contributors. Some of the features that were put into wizden's code were made by people who are now banned for disagreeing with them. The althub and altlauncher were made by a person who was banned because he asked to stop banning contributors for their opinions. We have had over 570 contributors and only 11 are banned, ranging from bot accounts to bans for toxicity to porn spammers. Also to address the alt-launcher: Skye, also goes by she/her pronouns for reference (which you should know), had several incidents where she called devs disgusting or was otherwise abrasive towards community members and after several incidents we ended up banning her from discord.
