Ban Reason: "Metacommunication. Both lied and was aggressive in AHelp." Length of Ban: Unknown. Events leading to the ban: I reported to the Admin that one of the Chefs, Chug B(something), had locked me (service worker) and someone else (chef) in the freezer room with fridges. The Chef did not appreciate the fact that me and the other chef were in the kitchen. I assume after the Admin’s help, the Chef released us from the freezer. However, he proceeded to aggressively pull me and the other chef out of the kitchen. I resisted, and I told him that the other Chef had every right to be here, and I stayed in the kitchen to make sure the other chef could play the game. He ignored me and continued with aggressive pulling and pushing. Then, I started attacking him so he would stop. When I started attacking him, the other chef attacked with me until the Chef laid on the ground. The Chef was not dead, and lied unconscious. Then, security came and arrested me and the other chef. I asked the Admin for an explanation, but they refused, asked some questions, and banned me. Reason the ban should be removed: I just wanted to help the other chef to the kitchen, but I saw him getting locked in the freezer. I was doing my role-playing job, and the Chef was very unwelcoming to the other chef. There was no metacommunication, I was not lying, and I was not aggressive in AHelp, as I was accused.

Botany is right next to arrivals so yeah. You likely loosed it, and live tomatoes... are not friendly. You RDMed all the survivors.

Length of ban: "Ban will only be removed via appeal" Events leading to the ban: I was assigned as a chef, I joined the game with my girlfriend and was following her and watching what she did. As soon as we arrived in the kitchen and I started looking around the other chef immediately yelled at us to leave, we both explained to him that I was a chef and he continued to yell at us both to leave and then locked us in a freezer. When he finally did let us out he started verbally harassing my girlfriend and I became agitated. We both tried explaining that she wanted to teach me what to do but he ignored and continued to be obstinate and he started pushing and pulling her around. I then saw my girlfriend start hitting him and I followed suit. Immediately the security came to arrest me and I got an admin message so I was focused on typing back to them. I asked why it was okay what the other chef did but it wasn't okay for me to hit him. they told me next time to report it through admin chat which until then I didn't know about (I'm new to the game). They then asked me to read the rules which after finding them I attempted to do so. Part way through me reading the rules they messaged me again and said I was metacomming. I had just read that section, and am 100% sure I was NOT metacomming as I'm in my house alone and not on any calls. The admin proceeded to insist that I was lying and asked me to retract my statement. I told them I don't know what they want me to say, I had already told them I wasn't metacomming and they then insisted that I was lying again. I thought it was over so I went back to playing and almost immediately after asking if anyone had seen where my girlfriend went I was verbally berated and told to leave. I told the other user that I didnt kow what I was doing without my girlfriend and then they hit me and told me I deserved it. I reported this in the admin chat and was told they were jsutified so I went about following a security person who was dragging someone to medical. I proceeded to try and figure out what to do when suddenly I was banned. Reason the ban should be removed: I did not MetaComm, I did not lie to Ahelp, and after being explained the escalation issue I did not further hurt anyone else.

Just for clarification, as far as I know the only place I encountered live tomatoes was near arrivals near end of round, but if I accidently did, I'm sorry but I'm 90% sure that i did not as i was in med and near sec most of the round.

Just poking in, pretty sure on this round you had opened the door at Botany while 50 killer tomatoes were sealed inside for usage against the ops. This might be why you were banned, but I'm unsure. We don't know *who* opened that door for sure but pretty much all of Botany suspected you.

Role(s): [Security] Length of ban: [4 days] Events leading to the ban: [Murder of CE leading to arrest of syndicate engineer; Theft of captain gear by passenger and AOS being put on them; Thief rushing towards weapons which resulted in me opening fire; search of syndicate engineer gear, finding uplink and contraband; Zombie outbreak. I believe passenger that stole captain gear had insulated gloves so as gear not aligned with passenger job, or lack or it I took it away together with other tools, I believe I only took them for myself after we had whiff of zombies, surely we can relate to all those zapped doors, fences and grilles which makes insulated gloves very desireable. I took care of stripping and revival of syndicate engineer, spent good time treating the dead and reviving crew and syndie in medbay as syringes as some of meds were not availible to me and med was understaffed; I searched according to this clarification: I have found out uplink in PDA and notified rest of sec staff, I have then found nocturine contraband and hypopen, acording to #admin-questions on discord "what you see is what you know" so when I saw that I can inject with pen I notified staff again and put it with rest of contraband, made sure criminal records are in order and would not see them again till looc dispute between them and sec, I have given them 7 mins of time which I believe was reasonable for what I believed was mass murder(There were around 6 people dead in medbay that I could see and 4 or so I witnessed coming form engineering) and contraband. At one point in medbay I saw a "captain" without ID so questioned it about them, apparently it was stolen... Then real captain was in brig so not soon later I realized our AOS target is hiding in plain sight in medbay so I cuffed, searched and processed them, gave them 6 min time or so, I believe among their ill gained posessions were security weapons, quite bit used so I was alarmed that they already attacked people, when releasing them they really wanted their contraband and/or restricted gear back or at very least use it as excuse for someone to open sec locker room door which had sec weapons on tables. I have tried to talk them out trying to break into security room and continue with the shift released, when it failed I tried flash, stun and cuff them but apparently flash stun can cause you to both fail stamcrit and cuffing which made me chat about how embarrasing it was, during that time they pushed me into door and rushed in direction of weapons I recognized them as a threat and used first weapon my cursor or active hotkey would let me use which ended up being lethal pistol, I have crit them, cuffed and treated with gauze but because I updated criminal records between crit and treatment they kept going between crit and stable state due to bloodloss and I decided to get them treated in medbay in which they suicided, asked higher ups if we should stop revival if they gonna keep on suiciding but got no response so went with revival, they got at least partially treated but because they kept trying to escape I decided to take them to brig as soon as their life was not in danger and to not resort to interrupting them with harm-intent means as I had to punch them once because someone was preventing me from pulling them and I did not want to harm them.] Reason the ban should be removed: [ I did not get response yet on discord of rule clarifications are outdated https://discord.com/channels/310555209753690112/1125299494066597888/1231011660093722644 so assuming they are still correct its perfectly fine to check PDAs during normal search, let alone on arrested mass murderer that have killed a commander. Been few months now so im not sure) from what I heard. I could have stood there silently and wait for stamcrit immunity to wear off but I tried to RP and got punished for it mid-sentece then forced to act quickly when my opponent was in front of disabler, stun batons and pair of cuffs. [Night N Gale (Night gale)] - I was playing on Wizden Levi and rolled Nukie and as we were preparing I was banned for RDM for a previous Nukie Round. = For game bans = Ban reason: [51531 - Levithan - [RDM*2 during nukie round, previous ban] Length of ban: 2,880 minutes Events leading to the ban: To be truthful I do not know what round this refers to as I have not rolled nukie in 2 weeks or so, but my last round that was nukie we got on station and killed any who had a weapon, but disk was thrown in space extending the round and leading to a large portion of the station being killed by nukies. In my most recent round I got L6 from ground and loaded it as nukies where still on station, then nukies where defeated and I did not get on evac, and I did EORG a seccie which I do regret now alongside a few others I believe 2 other people however this was only after evac was gone and the cargo shuttle and pods have left. Reason the ban should be removed: I was given no notice or reasoning, and it was after evac had left and on LRP and Levi EORG is agreed apon to be acceptable in end of round I just think this ban should have come with warning and is frankly unnecessary overall.

Been banned on Leviathan for using the r-word. I have been warned once about it in a occasion i called MYSELF a r-word and tried to be more careful moving foward. Wanna know when this round happened, which has been warned, and if it was a recurring thing. If it's the first option can i have the ban revoked? I usually try to be as RP friendly as possible, and don't try to ruin the fun of anyone if not antaging. Cheers!

Sorry for the delay. This complaint has been rejected. Findings The admin investigated and contacted every player reported by the complainant during round 46967. Two of the three players reported by the complainant during Lizard 46967 had an admin action taken against them during the round in relation to the report by the complainant. The replay for round 46967 does not load so logs have to be relied on entirely for confirming what happened during the round, which means some context or information may have been missed. While logs do indicate that a weapon and later handcuffs were picked up by the lawyer, it is not clear that any rules were violated by the lawyer when doing this. Chat logs don't support the idea that the lawyer was attempting to interfere in the arrest or detention of a player because they seemed to be continuing to have a conversation with the player after the player was uncuffed. Due to finding 4, the admin cannot be presumed to have responded inappropriately by not treating the situation as a rule violation by the lawyer. Rules, like self antag rules, attempt to draw a line on a spectrum of behavior. It is incredibly difficult to precisely define this line, so admins have some discretion on a case by case basis. While interfering with security is said to be against the rules, not every minor interference is considered a rule violation. Admins should look to the severity of the interference, the frequency, and the reason for it when determining if it is a rule violation. While many rule violations can be responded to IC to some degree, players are free to ahelp anything that they reasonably believe is a rule violation, and are generally not intended to be the sole or primary response to a rule violation. Sphiral may not have communicated ideally in the ahelp. They said that they feel they could have handled the ahelp better. Not enough information could be found to evaluate the appropriateness of the note that was left in relation to the incident. Based on the information that could be gathered, it is presumed to be sufficiently likely to be appropriate that removal or modification of the note is not necessary. This should attempt to be revisited if the the note becomes relevant for a more impactful admin decision, such as an admin application, ban, dewhitelisting, or other admin action with an outcome that is affected by the note. Players should be discouraged from making inappropriate ahelps, but they should not be discouraged from making appropriate ahelps. Admins should err on the side of tolerating inappropriate ahelps to avoid discouraging appropriate ahelps. Ahelps where a player reasonably believed that a rule violation occurred are appropriate ahelps. The complaint could not be fully investigated due to the amount of time that passed between the incident and the handling of the complaint. helmets giving resistance to non-lethals, all damage armor is located on the coat slot shoes giving slip/nail resistance, perhaps with sunglasses too. perfect is removing full anti-vulnerability (mag-boots force full speed walk ?), resistance can be played with trade det for para ? fake power cables, a 1 tc item used to help with electrical sabotage by tricking the electric system into thinking there is still a cable there give chaplain a suit of knights armor

Ban reason: Used the r word in round 50012 again Length of ban: 4320 minutes Events leading to the ban: Somewhere in the round I let slip the r word. I do not remember when or how or on what topic or event. I was tiered and a bit emotionally charged. Reason the ban should be removed: It should not, be removed. I have been trying to condition myself not to use any slurs described in the rules section. This is a bit hard as culturally where I am from swearing is second nature. I am trying my best, but I think the negative reinforcement is needed as a stimulant for it to properly settle in my subconscious. The Captain spare ID is a steal objective and as such falls under powergaming to hide. "Do not hide known antagonist objectives or otherwise secure them with a higher amount of security then would normally be required. Do not go around collecting all of the antagonist objectives as you first order of business and hide them in the vault just to make sure nobody can get them. Unless you have a specific and direct reason to believe a certain item is being targeted, you have no reason to go put it in the highest security area possible." It is also powergaming under the fact of handing out unwarranted access or giving the spare for emergencies as that would be considred preparing equipment for no purpose other than "just incase".

So, something I often see is Cap giving HOS the spare. It made sense to me, so I started doing the same. But today I got bowinked for that, so I wanted to have it clarified whether it's ok or not.

Due to your attempt to evade your ban, you are banned indefinitely. A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server's admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14's Wizard's Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server.
